River Clean-Ups . . . A Community Effort

The annual National River Clean Up Week is one that just about everyone in Onslow County can participate in in some way, as evidenced by these photos of past events.

Left:  Marines from Marine Corps Air Station New River preparing for a shore line clean up aboard the base.

These photos were taken at a fall 2006 clean up with NRF partnering with Keep Onslow Beautiful.  Pizza and sodas were provided after the clean up. More than 50 people showed up on this “cool-windy” fall day.
